Story
An art piece from the “Wearable Sculpture” series by artist Kelly M Noonan “Inner Space” Inspired by this amazing stone. Polished on the front, back, and sides with the top and bottom left natural and uncut. The transition of this stone from opaque iron colored jasper at the bottom moving up the stone to the translucency of the brown moss agate all the way to the top capped with white crystals reminded me of earth’s layers. Iron at her core, with a skin of soil, the stone seems capped by a snowy mountain. I loved the holes in the stone, they make me think of subterranean caves filled with earth’s geologic wonders. The piece is topped with a sheet of Argentium sterling silver repousséd and chased into billowing clouds, with a sun of amber peeking through. Inner Space This jewelry piece nestles into a cluster of Arkansas quartz crystal, upon a base of American alder wood.
